SMPTE Ohio participated in the 2025 Midwest Broadcast & Multimedia Technology Conference! MBMTC 2025 featured two days of learning, exploring, and networking designed specifically for broadcast engineers and multimedia professionals. SMPTE Ohio members got to attend the event for a special rate and enjoyed everything the event had to offer.

SMPTE Florida partnered with Film Florida to bring students at the UF College of Journalism and Communications “From Campus to Career: Networking and Industry Connections – Panel Discussion and Networking Lunch.” This event featured a panel of experts from Telemundo, Film Florida, and CTI and wrapped up with a fun pizza party.

The 2025 Media Technology Summit is just 15 days away and there’s still time to register! This four-day conference features in-depth technical sessions on the hottest topics in the industry, live demos of various workflows from the biggest names in the industry, and plenty of networking opportunities so you can support your career! Students can gain access to the conference for just $25 per-day, allowing them to take part in all of our new programming, including:

This year’s conference takes place Oct 13-16 in the Pasadena Convention Center. Register now

The Content Provenance and Authenticity (CPA) Study Group has a brand-new public survey! The survey’s goal is to identify gaps in current standards, explore interoperability with emerging technologies such as C2PA, and inform future SMPTE work that supports secure, verifiable, and trustworthy media production. It will also ask for user stories during the survey. Standards also wants the Society to check out our new and improved recently published document page.

The SMPTE Job Board has been updated!
