SMPTE Announces 2022 NAB Show Educational Presentations

Sessions Include Future of Cinema: The Immersive World of MSG Sphere

"One of our most important goals at SMPTE is to shine a light on technological innovation and how it is shaping media and entertainment. Sponsoring these educational sessions led by our esteemed colleagues is one way to fulfill that goal," Michael Zink, vice president, emerging and creative technologies at WarnerMedia and SMPTE education vice president. WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — April 12, 2022 — SMPTE®, the home of media professionals, technologists, and engineers, today announced a lineup of 12 educational sessions supported by SMPTE at the 2022 NAB Show.

Saturday, April 23

9 a.m.-10:20 a.m. — Future of Cinema: The Immersive World of MSG Sphere

In this keynote session, the future of entertainment promises to transport us to new worlds by providing a new medium and multisensory platform for artists. One of the most ambitious projects of this kind – MSG Sphere – will feature 160,000 square feet of interior immersive displays, groundbreaking spatialized audio, and full 4D effects.
