Registration is also now open for the September SMPTE Technology Committee meetings in Paris, France! The Technology Committee meetings will occur right after IBC and are vital to SMPTE, as it’s the first step to tackling major industry issues. Different projects will be assigned to different committees, in-person meetings will help delegate work, and all of it happens within the beautiful city of lights!

In events news, SMPTE UK hosted a summer evening at Deluxe UK! While there were discussions on international versioning, no UK event would be complete without a bit of a party. This BBQ/discussion was a celebration of technology and summer fun that culminated in education, networking, and some great memories.
